About Me
I got my PhD from the
Department of Computer
Science, University of
Maryland, College Park. Before coming to the United
States, I was studying/working in
Department of
Computer Science,
Alexandria University, Egypt, where I graduated with
B.Sc. degree in Computer Science (ranked 3rd).
I received M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from
University of Maryland, College Park.
I worked as a research assistant with Prof.
Ashok Agrawala
and as a member of
Maryland Information and Network Dynamics Laboratory
(MIND). Currently, I am research scientist at Siemens Corporate Research, Inc., Princeton, NJ, USA in which I lead several research projects in the general area of smart mobility for optimized intelligent transportation systems and dynamic radio management for enterprise and industrial wireless networks.
Research Interests
Wireless networks, ad-hoc and sensor networks,
vehicular networks, enterprise wireless network managements, efficient cross
layer designs, smart antenna protocols, peer-to-peer
systems, pervasive computing, location determination
systems, and social networks.
